MGR is now officially over 1 year old! And what a year its been. We’ve had some of the biggest guest’s feature on our Air Waves, from Gramaphonzie through to the Soul Avangerz. We’ve held special events & regular broadcasts with numerous club brands from the blistering beats of Kiddfectious to the grooves of the worlds most glamourous club Miss Moneypennys. We’ve held Label showcases with Everyone from MUM & Kaluki To IHDS & Tidy And we’ve travelled to the shores of Ibiza with the weekly Pukka Up Ibiza Radio Show & Zoo Project to the WMC in Miami! At one point our Bandwidth costs were spiralling that much out of control we all thought we would have to re-mortgage our homes to keep up with the bills!
If Carlsberg did radio stations we’d “probably” have the strongest schedule of any specialised internet radio station on the world wide web period. Our listeners continue to grow week on week from some countries I’ve never even heard of! – And this can only be down to the continued support of you guys, which has seen label signings, numerous international gigs, new radio shows on the FM frequency and a bombardment of new faces fighting to get a slot on MGR.
So whats new, well first of MYNC & CR2 will be joining the team with their weekly radio shows. Pukka up will also be returning with their seasonal summer ibiza show, and we have a whole host of new American & Australian faces that will soon be joining the team in the not so distant future to alternate the time zone and make MGR a 24hr round the clock house station.
Also Gee Moore’s Bora Bora music show will be hosted weekly by Gee Moore, Alan Prosser, Dean Laidler, Dan Ferritto and Dave Gallier.
We have also decided to update the MGR’s main playlist on a monthly basis so we can keep our programming as fresh as possible, heres were you come in. We want you to have your input each month, so we would ask you submit your top 5 tracks of the moment, from minimal to funky, if your feeling it – send it to us and we will get it on the list… Simples!
